Declan is an Irish artist from County Meath with over thirty years of experience as both a professional artist and art director.

He began his career in special effects animation at Sullivan Bluth Studios, where he collaborated with artists from around the world, absorbing a wide range of techniques and styles across various mediums.

Declan was later recruited by 20th Century Fox as an Art Director for effects at their cutting-edge studio in Arizona, USA. There, he played a key role in building the studio’s effects department—training new artists in special effects animation and guiding them in the fundamentals of drawing and composition for classical feature animation. His close collaboration with multiple departments enriched his artistic approach, influencing his work to this day.

Upon returning to Ireland, Declan was hired by Disney to oversee global gaming projects. This role took him to Japan, Korea, and across the United States, where he led international teams and contributed his extensive artistic expertise to major titles, including Marvel’s Thor.
